I am also considering transfering sa ibang school kasi palpak talaga ang nursing dept plus yung WRP system na not student friendly. Hi anon! Im from FEU MNL- nursing freshie. Recommend me nursing school that has a better system than this school. TLDR: Nursing in FEU MNL sucks a lot of student nurses are planning to transfer. Their reasons why we can't have our duties - They are prioritizing 3rd and 4th year nursing students + the availability of schedules in the hospitals.Our lives don't always revolve around the school. Imagine the anxiety and panic that it gives to the students. Then suddenly some of it will be canceled. For example, at 10:30 pm they announced that this section will be having their duty at this hospital at 6:00 am. Their announcement is always late at night like 10:30 pm or a day before. They keep on saying that we are student nurses and we should be alert.
Late Announcements - Their announcement is always late. Other problems that we are currently facing:ġ. The amount of tuition fee that we paid is not worth it. It is kinda unfair for us that some sections like 5 sections out 32 sections of our batch (?) are having their duty inside the hospitals while the rest of the sections will be having their duty in public schools. We still didn't have our duties yet, and the department tell us that we will be having our duty in public schools. We are now approaching the end of the sem. Most of us went to VINES (a place that looks like a hospital where you use equipment and stuff) once or twice because of Revalida! Regarding the next 6 weeks which is Skills and Return Demo, majority of the students did their return demonstration inside the classrooms. (This means that there are no classrooms available for us in order for us to conduct our classes face to face.) Additionally, some of our classes were conducted online. Most of the students find it hard to focus during those 6 hours considering there are too many students and distractions. Please note that these quizzes are not your regular kind of quizzes because they are super hard since you need to read long modules.ĭuring those 6 weeks of lectures, three sections were merged together. We took 3 to 4 quizzes in one day (10 identification and 10 multiple choices) some sections even take 6 quizzes in one day which consists of all the topics discussed in the sem. At first, we are overwhelmed because we were bombarded with lectures that we can't even retain. The admin did not inform us about the change in curriculum. They said that they did this in order for us to be equipped during our upcoming duty, and at the same time they assured us that all of us will be going to hospitals for duty. 6 weeks of lecture, 6 weeks of skills, and 6 weeks of clinical exposure. They accepted a lot of enrollees (which they are proud of) but they can't accommodate us.Ĭontext: The Nursing department implemented a 6-6-6 curriculum.
